HOW TO CONNECT AN ANDROID PHONE TO A MAC AND TRANSFER FILES
I have been a windows users since i got my first PC which came loaded with Windows XP and right now i am using Windows 8.1. It has been a great experience using various iteration of windows operating system for all these years and for a change, i recently switched to the MAC OS and to be frank i found it entirely opposite of how most windows fans described it to me.
The MAC OS has a very simple and easy to use user interface, however for someone who has migrated from windows, the first few days would be a rough ride. One of first issues that i encountered while using the Mac OS was related to my Android smartphone not being detected.
This is a common problem with most Android smartphones as many manufacturers don’t provide drivers for the Mac OS. As usual i did my research on possible solutions for the problem and within minutes my Android smartphone was connected with my Macbook Air via an USB cable and i was able to transfer files from it.
So for those who want to connect their Android smartphone with a Mac, here’s how you can do so.
How to Connect an Android phone to a MAC via an USB cable and Transfer files
Step 1: Download and install the Android File Transfer tool on your MAC.
Step 2: Once installed, run the Android File Transfer tool.
Step 3: Enable USB debugging on your Android smartphone and make sure you phone is not locked.
Step 4: Finally connect your Android smartphone to your Mac via an USB cable.
There you go, the Android file transfer tool will now show you the contents on your Android phone.
